A 2-day immersive workshop for new and experienced Scrum Masters
The Scrum Master Accelerator course is an intensive 2-day training workshop designed to provide leading edge capabilities to new and experienced Scrum Masters to best support Agile teams and organizations in today’s highly complex technological marketplace.
This rich, experiential training revisits, and builds upon Scrum and Agile foundations. It provides practical, real-world applications of Scrum. In addition to covering the basic tenants of the Scrum Master role, it delves into more advanced areas of the Scrum Master role that are often under-explored.
- Experienced Scrum masters – You will go back to the basics in a format that is designed to challenge your current lines of thinking regardless of experience. You will delve into more advanced areas of the role including professional Coaching, DevOps, developmental psychology and systems thinking.
- New Scrum Masters, project managers, or those interested in transitioning into the Scrum Master role – This workshop will take you through the basics of Scrum. It will provide you with a practical foundation to support future learning and outline a future path of growth in your role within the organization.
The Scrum master accelerator utilizes the latest brain-based learning techniques to accelerate skills development and applicability of the course material.
What will I learn?
In Day 1, you will:
- Model the values and principles Scrum and understand how they are essential to creating lasting high-performance organization
- Define the roles and responsibilities of the Scrum master, Development team, and product owner.
- Learn how to increase your influence, voice and authenticity as a Scrum master
- Explore the integral theory of organizational development and how it’s relevant to creating empowered high-performance team culture
- Learn how to leverage professional coaching skills to unlock motivation and productivity in your teams
- Learn how to employ systems approaches to radically improve impediment resolution and accelerate delivery
- Understand how to harness data and metrics for continuous improvement
- Learn techniques that support effective collaboration and scaling across teams
In Day 2 you will:
- Understand DevOps, and how to harness it effectively to increase product delivery
- Identify product backlog sequencing techniques
- Understand and embody the role of the servant leader in service to the team and organization
- Develop your Agile coaching stance. Be able to distinguish between, and appropriately apply facilitating, teaching, mentoring and coaching
- Apply practical facilitation techniques
- Understand the interrelationships in Scrum as a system.
- Employ accelerated learning techniques to help your teams move through the performance growth curve
- Explore techniques to coach product owners to improve their collaboration with the team
- Learn ways to enable the shift from a traditional fixed mindset to an Agile growth mindset
